Bigriggen Park Weather
A common misconception is that the weather at Bigriggen Park is the same as you are getting in Brisbane or the Gold Coast. Yes, we do get rain, but more often than not we are basking in beautiful sunshine with no wind while it is pouring and blowing a gale closer to the Coast!
Bigriggen Park is protected by mountain ranges to the South and to the West which gives it a unique climate that is sometimes very different to even Rathdowney which is a mere 10km away.
Having said all that, always be prepared for any weather when you are camping anywhere.
Remember to always pack warm night wear and sleeping gear because the nights can be cold, even in Summer.
In summer, Scenic Rim average maximums are around 30°C, and minimums under 20°C. Perfect for swimming in the adjacent Logan River. Most rainfall is in the summer months of December, January and February.
Winter is typified by crisp mornings under 10°C, occasional frosts, with the days abounding in clear blue sky, warm sunshine and maximums above 20°C.
