Welcome To Bigriggen Park in the Scenic Rim

Bigriggen Park is a privately owned and managed Camping Ground on a Water Reserve which is leased from the Queensland State Government.

Bigriggen Park is situated in the Scenic Rim between Boonah and Rathdowney in the foothills of the Scenic Rim's Mount Maroon, with Mount Barney and Mount Lindesay nearby.

It's just 90 minutes from Brisbane or the Gold Coast.

The Scenic Rim's Lake Maroon, Lake Moogerah, Barney Creek, Logan River, Burnett Creek, Christmas Creek and Running Creek provide numerous water activities and scenic drives close to Bigriggen Park Camping & Caravanning.

Camping at Bigriggen Park puts you close to bush walks in the Scenic Rim's Mt Barney National Park which encompasses Mt Barney, Mt Maroon, Mt May and Mt Lindesay.

Camp at Bigriggen Park and you are close to many Scenic Rim drives including the Border Ranges, Lions Road, Lamington National Park and Main Range National Park.

Bigriggen Park provides easy access for camping, caravans, motorhomes, buses, etc.

Pick Your Own Campsite

Bigriggen Park offers 50 acres of grassy, non-powered camping with plenty of shade, without the restriction of small designated sites.
There is easy access for caravans, buses, motorhomes, 2WD vehicles etc.

  • Many species of birds including Parrots, Kookaburras, Cockatoos, Boobook, Tawny Frogmouth, Dollarbird, Fairy-Wrens, Bowerbirds, and many more!

Amenities

Our amenities block, has a Dump Ezy dump point,
flushing toilets, hand basins with soap dispensers and
hot showers that require 20 cent coins for hot water.
During peak times additional toilets are brought in to cope with the demand.

 

 

Kiosk

Our Kiosk is open most days from 8am - 6pm, (8.00am - 8.00pm Fridays only), to provide you with everyday items such as coffee and hot chocolate, bread, milk, tinned food, ice, soft drinks, ice creams, firewood, fishing lines & bait, L.P.G. refills, etc.

Blue Care Bigriggen Swing'n Jazz Day

You are invited to spend a day in the bush at Bigriggen Park being entertained by The Undecideds Jazz Band and Michael Woollett on the keyboard.
Your $25 entry fee includes billy tea & damper for morning tea and a two course hot lunch.
Bring along your picnic table and chairs and set yourself up in the shade of the trees for a day of music, prizes, bush poetry, stalls, quizzes and raffles.
Decorate your table for a chance to win the Best-Dressed Table competition. Theme for the day is "Blue".
